Throughout my teaching experience I have consistently demonstrated empathy and a genuine caring for students, peers, and other members of the school community. I communicated empathy and caring by listening to my students, and altering my actions if necessary. My genuine caring for students is evident in the quotes from my Field III Partner Teacher and Field Instructor. Furthermore, I made appropriate, positive relationships with my students by consistently supporting and respecting them. I supported their diversity in the classroom by encouraging them to be themselves. Greeting the students by name every morning also helped me build positive relationships. Since I invested my time to understand my students, and because I consistently demonstrated respect and caring for them, I found that they reciprocated the feelings. As observed in the photos, some students took the time to draw me pictures, and write kind things for me.
